Radiopharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences are still in a change and fast development. The change is ranging from diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals to therapeutic ones. In recent a couple of years, radiopharmaceuticals have been evolved to theragnostic due to the double function of them in the diagnosis and therapy of the diseases provided by the same formulation.

The scope and contents of this book is to bring the recent developments of radiopharmaceuticals prepared for nuclear medicine use.

The book has 6 chapters. Chapter I reflects the first-time production and quality control of diagnostic SPECT radiopharmaceutical (Tl-201) Chloride for myocardial imaging with national resources at TAEK.

Chapter II summarizes general information about Cu-64 radiopharmaceuticals used in the field of PET imaging and also for targeted therapy in cancer due to its versatile coordination chemistry and decay properties.

Chapter III is thoroughly revised to include all recent studies from production to clinical trials radiolabeled with Zr-89 used for molecular imaging of biomolecules.

Due to the heterogenous and aggressive structure, brain tumors are the subject of many researches. Different type of imaging modalities (PET, SPECT, MRG, CT) as well as hybrid imaging have been employed for the diagnosis of gliomas. Chapter IV evaluated these studies.

Chapter V presents the currents status for the diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumors by giving information regarding receptor or metabolic pathway targeted radiopharmaceuticals.

Adverse reactions and alterations of radiopharmaceuticals, particularly administered for kidney imaging, are presented in Chapter VI.
