Dear Colleagues,

Benign (benign) anorectal diseases are a group of diseases that are frequently encountered in medical practice, can be seen in all age groups and in both sexes, and significantly affect the quality of life of patients. Patients usually present in an advanced state due to embarrassment and underestimation of their complaints, which makes treatment difficult.

This book has been prepared to compile the existing knowledge on this important subject and to provide an up-to-date, comprehensive resource for our colleagues working in this field. Each chapter of the book has been created with the careful contributions of competent authors in the field and updated with academic sensitivity.

In this book, the pathophysiology, diagnosis and current treatment methods of common diseases such as haemorrhoidal disease, anal fissure, anorectal abscess, anal fistula and Fourni- er gangrene are discussed, as well as special topics such as anaesthesia applications for benign anorectal surgeries. I believe that this book will make an important contribution to the daily practice of our colleagues interested in the field of proctology.
