NEUROINFLAMMATION MECHANISMS, CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS, AND THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES

Neuroinflammation is gaining increasing importance in the pathophysiology of central and peripheral nervous system diseases. While the role of immunological and inflammatory mechanisms in neurological disorders has been investigated for many years, recent advances in molecular biology and imaging techniques have significantly deepened our understanding of this field.
This book has been prepared as a comprehensive reference that examines the fundamental mechanisms, clinical implications, and therapeutic approaches of neuroinflammation. Additionally, it aims to provide foundational knowledge for future research in this field. With valuable contributions from experts in the field, this work thoroughly explores the role of neuroinflammation in various neurological diseases, its impact on disease progression, and newly developed treatment strategies.
The chapters of the book cover a broad spectrum, starting from the fundamental biological mechanisms of neuroinflammation and extending to its role in demyelinating diseases, dementia, stroke, movement disorders, peripheral nerve diseases, neuromuscular disorders, and motor neuron diseases. Each chapter has been meticulously prepared by specialists in the respective fields and is supported by up-to-date literature.
I sincerely thank all my colleagues who have contributed to the creation of this work. Believing that scientific knowledge gains value when shared, I hope that this book will serve as a valuable resource for both clinical practice and academic research.
