Gastrointestinal system diseases and symptoms are common in adults at all ages, and the death rate from gastrointestinal system diseases in Türkiye is 2.19%. Although the mortality rate from gastrointestinal system diseases is low, individuals experience these diseases and their symptoms at least once in their lives. In addition, the daily drug consumption amount for these diseases is 483.4 per thousand people, and almost one in every two people uses medication. One of the reasons for this is that individuals experience different symptoms specific to diseases, since each part of the gastrointestinal system has different functions. The nurse should be aware of the signs and symptoms of these diseases and plan and implement disease care accordingly. In this book; Nursing care and education in the management of gastrointestinal system diseases are included in detail for nursing students and nurses, and was written to create a resource on this subject.
