ABSTRACT
Because of the anatomical features of nail unit, the clinical differential diagnosis of benign tumors of this specific area is difficult. As the nail plate covers the lesions the clinical appearance of tumors is modified. We reviewed benign tumors and tumor-like lesions of nail unit in relation to the clinical presentation, anatomic location, histopathological features, radiological approach and differential diagnoses.
Keywords: Nails; benign tumors
