ABSTRACT

Body contouring surgery is increasingly sought by transgender women seeking feminization. This article reviews current techniques, focusing on liposuction and autologous fat transfer, considering the unique anatomical differences between male and female bodies. We discuss preoperative assessment, surgical approaches, postoperative care, and potential complications, emphasizing the need for meticulous technique and careful patient selection to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction. Innovative techniques and technologies are also highlighted to improve fat transfer survival and achieve optimal aesthetic results. This review underscores the importance of a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to this complex surgical area.
