ABSTRACT
The increasing population and the pandemic conditions that have emerged in recent years have forced countries to use telemedicine applications more actively and intensively. It is known that telemedicine can be used for many different chronic diseases. Telemedicine provides excellent convenience to patients and allows governments to reduce costs. Despite these positive aspects, telemedicine is not precisely where it should be, and there is a path to be taken due to reasons such as patients not being able to adapt to technology, not being able to appeal to different ethnic structures, doctors not being welcoming enough and not having enough infrastructure.
Keywords: Telemedicine; chronic diseases; cost of illness; COVID-19
