ABSTRACT

Coronary chamber fistulas are abnormal connections between a coronary artery and a specific cardiac chamber, often of congenital origin. The disease may have no early symptoms, but if left untreated, it can lead to serious cardiac pathologies. This section provides a comprehensive review of the definition, pathophysiology, findings, diagnosis, treatment, and management of fistulas. Treatment varies depending on the size, location, and whether or not the fistula produces symptoms. Small and asymptomatic fistulas can often only be monitored, while large or symptomatic fistulas may require intervention. This section discusses the clinical significance of fistulas, their diagnosis, comprehensive treatments, and recent developments.
