ABSTRACT
Although there is a large amount of information in the literature about coronary artery diseases that require surgery, there is little information about the surgery of coronary venous diseases. In particular, coronary venous system pathologies that require surgical intervention, especially coronary sinus anom- alies, aneurysms, coronary fistulas and congenital complex anomalies, their surgery and the concept of coronary venous disease are examined in the first section. In the second section, it is examined how experimental coronary venous disease modeling can be done. Although coronary artery diseases are widely known and studied with many different animal models, coronary venous disease is not a well- known subject and its modeling is quite limited. An animal coronary venous disease model that we designed and applied on rabbits is presented in detail in the second section to guide other researchers. The coronary venous disease created in the modeling could be demonstrated histopathologically. We believe that the coronary venous disease model we described will guide future studies because it can be applied easily and safely.
