ABSTRACT

The Double Kissing Crush (DK Crush) stenting technique has emerged as a highly effective strategy for treat- ing complex bifurcation lesions. These lesions, located at the junctions where coronary arteries branch into two, pose significant challenges during treatment. Although provisional stenting is commonly employed, it often falls short in addressing true bifurcation lesions (Medina classifications 1,1,1; 1,0,1; or 0,1,1) and large os- teal side branch involvement. Introduced in 2005, DK Crush was developed to address the limitations of the traditional crush method. Studies have demonstrated that it significantly reduces major cardiac events, cardiac-related fatalities, and stent thrombosis. This section provides the procedural steps, benefits, and key considerations for effectively utilizing the DK Crush technique in clinical practice.
