ABSTRACT
Uterine leiomyomas, commonly known as fibroids, are the most prevalent benign tumors of the fe- male pelvis. Uterine leiomyomas are highly common, with estimates suggesting that up to 70-80% of women will develop them by the age of 50 years. The prevalence of these tumors varies according to age, ethnicity, and other demographic factors. Understanding their prevalence, risk factors, and demo- graphic variation is essential for developing targeted interventions and improving patient outcomes. This article provides an overview of the epidemiological aspects of uterine leiomyomas, including their prevalence, risk factors, and demographic variation.
