ABSTRACT
Hypoglycemia is a common condition encountered in the emergency department, with high mortality rates. It is characterized by low plasma glucose concentration and is rare in individuals without diabetes mellitus (DM), but can occur as a complication of DM treatment in individuals with DM. This study will discuss the diagnosis, etiology, and management of hypoglycemia from the perspective of the emergency department.
