ABSTRACT
Wrist fractures are the most common orthopedic injuries that require proper diagnosis. Imaging modalities and physical examination that includes specifical tests are used for this purpose. Physical examination alone is not sufficient for diagnosing wrist fractures, but lead the diagnosis. However, there are specific tests useful for ligament injuries and joint dislocations accompanying the fractures. Diagnostic imaging methods include radiographs, which are the standard imaging technique. Additional radiographs, such as scaphoid and carpal tunnel views, are used for specific bone fractures. Computed tomography (CT) is helpful for evaluating suspicious and intra-articular fractures, aiding in surgical planning. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is limited in its contribution but can be used to assess blood supply, ligament damage, and union. Also imaging modalities such as ct mri and scintigraphy can help to show occult fractures
