ABSTRACT
Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a complex and multifaceted condition that poses significant challenges for medical professionals in terms of diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. The use of three-dimensional (3D) printed models has emerged as a promising tool in addressing these challenges, offering a more comprehensive and interactive approach to understanding and managing CHD. This review aims to provide an overview of the applications of 3D printed models in CHD, focusing on their educational value for medical students and graduates, clinical applications in pre-operative planning and simulation of surgical procedures, and communication between healthcare providers and patients.
Keywords: Printing, three-dimensional; heart defects, congenital; magnetic resonance imaging; computed tomography angiography
