ÖZET
Nörobilişsel işlevler, algı, dikkat, bellek, öğrenme, karar alma, problem çözme, işlem hızı ve dil yeteneklerini kapsar. Bebeğin doğumundan itibaren birbirleriyle etkileşimli şekilde gelişmeye başlarlar. Günlük yaşama uyum, akademik başarı, iletişim gibi hayatın her alanında etkindir. Çeşitli psikiyatrik bozukluklarda nörobilişsel işlevlerle ilgili problemler de saptanmıştır.
Sosyal biliş, insanların kendilerinin ve başkalarının davranış, ilişki ve duygularını algıladıkları, düşündükleri, yorumladıkları, kategorize ettikleri ve yargıladıkları bir biliş türüdür.
Zihin Kuramı ilk defa 1978 yılında Premack ve Woodruff tarafından öne sürülmüştür, bireyin diğerlerinin zihinsel durumlarını, arzularını ve duygularını fark edebilme yeteneği olarak ifade edilmektedir. Alternatif düşünceler barındıran Zihin Kuramı, sağlıklı sosyal etkileşimler için temeldir.
