ABSTRACT

The psychosocial components and forensic aspects of migration include both the emotional and legal dimensions of a process of change that individuals experience, such as separation and loss, uncertainty and anxiety, identity reconstruction, social integration, cultural conflict and identity crisis. Psychosocial components cover the emotional adjustment process, stress coping mechanisms and social integration of migrants. In this process, it is important to protect migrants’ mental health and support their integration into society. The judicial aspects of the migration process aim to protect migrants’ legal rights, ensure fair treatment and access to the legal system. This includes issues such as migrants’ rights in legal proceedings, legal representation, their relationship with the justice system and protection against discrimination. Both components are inextricably linked to understand and support the significant changes in migrants’ lives related to the physical, emotional and social adaptation processes that moving to a new country brings. The aim of this study is to examine the psychosocial components and forensic dimensions of migration from the perspective of psychology and law.
