ABSTRACT
Uterine sarcomas and smooth muscle tumors of uncertain malignant potential (STUMP) can be seen in women incidentally after myomectomy or after hysterectomy. Numerous studies have been conducted to distinguish sarcoma from myoma in the preoperative period. However, despite these studies, the desired level of myoma and sarcoma differentiation has not been achieved. In cases of incidentally detected sarcoma and STUMP, the most appropriate approach for the patient should be selected by taking into account the previous surgical method and the patient’s desire for fertility.
