ABSTRACT
Our research adventure along two-decade at Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins and UCSF HEALTH, respectively have shown that basal septal hypertrophy (BSH) could be used as the early imaging biomarker in hypertensive disease which could be associated with stress-related additional symptoms. Since BSH is the conjunctive point of determination in variety of stress stimuli, we have called this finding as stressed heart morphology (SHM). Literature knowledge support that SHM represents adaptive phase of hypertensive disease and could be used as the treatment target prior to maladaptive phase and heart failure. Data also support that combined management of both hypertension and stress in a timely fashion could be used widespreadly and provide a public benefit.
