ABSTRACT
In recent years, the management of structural heart diseases (SHD) has significantly evolved due to the prevalent use of transcatheter techniques. The progression of transcatheter treatments has been made possible by advancements in devices and the development of imaging technologies. In this regard, cardiovascular imaging plays a crucial role not only in assessing SHD but also in guiding therapeutic interventions. To optimize these objectives, a multimodal imaging approach utilizing new tools for pre-procedural planning, intra-procedural guidance and follow-up is essential. Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), as a non-invasive technique, provides essential information about the anatomy of the lesion and nearby structures, thereby allowing for effective planning prior to procedures.
