ABSTRACT
Developmental Hip Dysplasia (DDH) is a disease that is most common in childhood and most of the typical ones can be prevented with simple sling or brace. Early examination and hip ultrasonographic examination are very important. Family history must be thoroughly investigated. In diseases such as metatarsus adductus, clubfoot and torticollis, a detailed hip evaluation must be performed. The earlier the diagnosis of DDH is made, the more successful its treatment is. In fact, most cases are treated with braces called Pavlik or Tübingen. Of course, it is possible to treat it at older ages, but it is prone to complications as explained in this section. The most important complications are; joint stiffness, osteonecrosis, shortness, limping and early arthrosis.
