ABSTRACT

Severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) remains an important clinical challenge, associated with high morbidity and mortality. Traditional surgical options, while effective, are often not feasible for patients with prohibitive surgical risks. In recent years, several transcatheter therapies have emerged, including edge-to-edge repair systems, annuloplasty devices, and orthotopic valve replacements, offering significant advances in the management of TR. Among these, the TricValveTranscatheter Bicaval Valve System stands out as a minimally invasive solution specifically designed for patients with severe symptomatic TR and caval reflux who are ineligible for surgery. By targeting the superior vena cava (SVC) and inferior vena cava (IVC), the TricValve system effectively alleviates symptoms and improves hemodynamic stability in selected high-risk patients. This chapter was explored the design, clinical context, procedural considerations and outcomes of the TricValve system and highlighted its role as an important addition to the growing transcatheter treatment initiatives for TR.
