ÖZET
Anafilaksi sıklığında genel toplumda belirgin bir artışın olduğu gözlenmektedir. Çalışmalar arasında farklılıklar olsa da genel olarak çocuklarda, ergenlerde ve genç erişkinlerde besinler, erişkinlerde ise ilaçlar anafilaksinin en sık etkenleri olarak tespit edilir. Yaşa bağlı faktörler, astım ve kardiyovasküler hastalıklar gibi eşlik eden durumlar, beta-blokerler ve anjiotensin dönüştürücü enzim inhibitörleri gibi eşzamanlı kullanılan ilaçlar ve birçok yardımcı faktörler anafilaktik reaksiyonun daha şiddetli ve ölümcül seyretmesine yol açabilir. Her anafilaksi atağı ölüm riski taşımasına rağmen yine de ölüm oranı düşüktür.
