Vagus Nerve Stimulation in School Nurses’ Epilepsy Management: Why is it Necessary to Know?

ABSTRACT
Epilepsy is one of the most common chronicle diseases in childhood. Vagus nerve stimulator is used in cases that cannot be controlled with medication. reducing the frequency of seizures oath improving the child’s quality of life are among the most important benefits of vagus nerve stimulation. school nurses play a key role in children with epilepsy who have vagus nerve stimulators. observing postoperative side effects and complications oath educating the child, family, and school staff are among the roles and responsibilities of school nurses. However, studies examining the roles and functions of school nurses in children with vagus nerve stimulators are limited. It is recommended that new studies have been conducted in this field.
